World Bee Day ๐ Room 1 Junior Infants
World Bee Day is celebrated on the 20th of May each year. It is a special day to remind us how important bees are for our planet and our everyday lives
Bees are small but incredibly important creatures! They fly from flower to flower and collect sweet nectar. When they do this, they help flowers make seeds and grow into fruits.
Some bees also make honey in their homes called hives.
Bees are very busy and work together as a team, like us!
We need bees because they help grow lots of the food we eat. We can help bees by planting flowers and being kind to nature.
To celebrate World Bee Day, our class created bee-a-utiful artwork. We used bubble wrap and paint to print the hive in the background. Then we each drew a bee, outlined it in marker and coloured using crayons.
We hope you like them! ๐๐ผ
